  9. the Roses 1963, The Homecoming stage 1967 and
  10. film 1973, and Amadeus 1979. He was also
  11. appointed artistic director of opera at
  12. Glyndebourne 1984, with productions of Carmen
  13. 1985 and Albert Herring 1985-86.
